Universal Cranes has a fleet of 200 cranes ranging from 3T to 750T, including minicranes, Frannas, all-terrains, crawler cranes and lattice boom truck cranes. Our fleet is available for wet or dry and casual or term hire. We service all sized jobs, from small residential and commercial lifts to major construction and infrastructure projects, as well in process or refinery facilities for resources and energy clients.

Our branches are more than just depots – they are locally owned family businesses with dedicated teams. With access to our 200 strong fleet, we can mobilise quickly to your site with cost-effective transfer of equipment between branches.

Lift planning and engineering

Universal Cranes provides more than just crane hire. We have a highly experienced in-house engineering team for any level of technical demands. Whether for a confined site area, avoiding above ground obstacles, complex shaped loads, or complicated rigging arrangements – Universal Cranes can carry out site inspections and analyse conditions in AutoCAD (2D) or Inventor (3D) to find the best lifting solution. 

Heavy lift and heavy transport solutions

Universal Cranes has a fleet of heavy transport equipment. We can assist with oversize and heavy transport services anywhere in Australia. Our fleet includes low loaders and Self-Propelled Modular Trailers.

Ancillary equipment

For complicated and oversized lifts, Universal Cranes owns a wide range of adjustable spreader bars, lifting beams, material cages, kibbles and man boxes. All equipment is bench test certified, inspected and maintained to the relevant Australia Standards and Codes of Practice. If we the correct item isn’t in our rigging store we have in-house capability to design, detail, manufacture and certify the necessary item.
